Default fot those with electronic boost controllers...

maybe it's just with the Profec Spec B, but it makes my turbo spool about 600 rpm sooner than just the wastegate spring.

Do you leave your EBC on, and on the lowest setting, or do you cut it off and let it boost on the WG spring?

This is on a daily basis, not when you're at the track, just when you're riding around.

my wastegate spring is 9lbs, and my low boost setting is 14 lbs, high boost is 20 lbs...

That is the advantage of having an EBC. Since normally on a just a spring, the WG valve will start to open before full boost is reached letting out gas that could have been used to spool the turbo. the EBC acts as an on/off switch instead of the slow gradual opening of the vavle if it were just on the spring.
