Default FMU!! Is it really needed???

Is an FMU really needed or can you just put something there in its place, like a intank fuel pump, FPR, bigger injectors, fuel rail, or a stand alone system.

If it is possible what setup would be the best.

I just don't see a real reson to have an FMU or maybe someone could explain to me why its there....

Thanks...

The best setup would be to get a standalone (Hondata) with an adjustable FPR, larger injectors, AND a fuel pump. FMU's run dangerous levels of fuel pressure.. and EIC's (AIC's) are just hard to tune through the whole rpm band. The setup I mentioned would be ideal.. but what are your goals?

I have an AIC system..it was a little hard to tune..but it works pretty well now. And for the price you cant beat it.

I think you need to find out exactly what an FMU does and how it works.
