Re: is this a FMU or a FPR ?? (therealPROJEKTEG)
fpr and fmu are kind the same thing only when in boost the FMU will give more pressure then just teh boost level.
Example: fpr at 40psi idle....great and 7 psi boost you will see 47psi...not high enough
FMU 12:1 at 40psi idle...great and 7 psi boost you will see 40+(7*12)=124PSI...lots of fuel will be delivered and also shows why you REALLY REALLY shouldn't boost past 7 PSI because the fuel pressure becomes rediculously high other then this, the system works great from what I've seen around here

really? I just assumed it was an FMU because it looks like a rising rate graph on the box....what is this then?

Read the description on the web site.
http://www.proven-products.co....s.htm
The people that "designed" that thing don't even know what they are talking about.
This product isn't even necessarily for turbo cars. It raises fuel pressure "1.7 times the standard rate" on "acceleration".
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">instant throttle response
removal of performance flat spots
faster acceleration
extra engine performance
The regulator enhances engine performance on acceleration by enriching the mixture strength. On constant throttle and cruise conditions the valve returns to a normal regulator function.
The Power Boost Valve is simple to install and in most instances basic fitting instructions are provided. These units are mechanical and are considered maintenance free.
We thank you for your interest in our products and hope that this bulletin provides you with enough information to answer any questions when making a purchase.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
Why would adding approximately 70% fuel under "acceleration" result in "removal of performance flat spots", "faster acceleration", and "extra engine performance" ?
This thing adds fuel in vacuum... who knows what it does in boost.
Note also that the company says this thing is supposed to replace your factory FPR... hehe.
