Default flex pipe with no flex?

I just a 6in with 4in flex pipe that I ordered. The dang thing has no give that I can tell. The inside of it is ribbed (accordion-like) steel. Is it supposed to be like this? if it is then how does it work or how well does it work? I am thinking of sending it back because I was told it shouldn't be ribbed like that on the inside and it should "flex". What do you guys think?

A short one isn't going to flex that much. And you have the better type for the inside, you don't want it to be braided stainless on the inside.

Do you think I should have gone with a longer one?

my flex from atpturbo.com is flex inside and out, its a 3" diameter 6" long section... "flex bellow" they call it.

Has very little give just holding it in my hand but once it was on the car and the dp was bolted to the exhuast you could see the flexing. its not supposed to be super-loose lol its just to relieve the turbo/manifold of stress fromt he exhaust moving/engine torquing

Is yours stainless braided inside and out then? I can push or bend mine though. With my weight on it I can barely feel it compress but it wont bend.

Your not suppose to be able to flex it bare handed, your engine will do that work for you.

Exactly, an 8' section of exhaust tubing will do the flexing for you..
unless you're the late andre the giant, no chance of flexing..
