DIY mandrel downpipe
how hard do you think this would be just get some SS exhaust tubing cap it of on one end and pack it tightly with all purpose sand then heat with torch and bend ???

but i think the guy doesnt want to have to cut prebent pipe and re-weld it into a downpipe.. i think he wants to do it all in one piece, and i think his idea might work, but then again, it would be really hard to bend the pipe with the sand inside, it would take A LOT of force

if youre making a dp only, chances are its omly about 2-3ft long at the most, 2 bends will cost the same as a 3-4ft staright piece. just buy the bends, it will be easier IMO

it would be the easiest to just go to a muffler/exhaust shop, but if you want to DIY just get pre bent piping, cut and weld, it wont be that hard to do at all... if you can weld
