Fixing to push my stock block B18b to the limit. Tuning advice needed.
Here's the story. I have a B18B turbo EG hatch. I've been driving around with approx 250whp for a while waiting until I had secured my ITR's new engine build financially. Now that it is taken care of I'm thinking about going ahead and cranking up the boost on the B18B.
Why? Well because I don't really care if it blows up . I want to build it anyway and have a my EF hatch, and my ITR (once the work is complete) to drive around.
From what I've seen I should be able to push it to around 320-330whp without it popping immediately. I'll have a wideband and tuning will be done via uberdata. I'm not a tuning pro by any means but have a general grasp of what to do.
1. Give it plenty of fuel. Going to shoot for AF's in the 11.5-11.8 range or so.
2. Pull plenty of timing. Retard about .75 degrees per pound past 10psi.
I plan on making the power with boost instead of aggresive tuning (I'm not good enough for that). I'm running a T3/T4 60 trim, .63ar so that won't be a problem.
I want to see how long it can take a beating. Any tips to make it survive as long as possible?
