how well would the gt30r turbo work with a stock b18b engine. low boost, maybe 8-10 pounds. im not looking for a turbo recomendation, just wondering how well it will work until the internals are built for more boost. turbo specs below.

wheel: 76.2mm w/ 56 trim

IMO that GT30R configuration isnt going to be ideal. For me it wouldnt be. I would rather have something like a GT2871R on a stock B18b. I have a fully built B18b with a Precision GT30R, .63 A/R turbine housing, but I wont have track times or full boost rpm correlation until next month.

 

let me know how you like it. the only reason i would like to go with the 30r over the 2871r is because i plan to build the engine, and i don't think the 2871r will be able to supply what i would like.

 

I will be making a long post after I get the car to the track. If you are looking for more than 375whp than you are right. The GT2871R isnt the right turbocharger for your B18b.

 

ok, that what i was thinking. i would like about 450whp once fully built, so thats why i was thinking the gt30r. thanks for the help.
