first time attempting to turbo.. D series
I have a d15b8 bottom, with a z6 head.
Once i get all the wiring set, I want to turbo.
So far, I have gotten the downpipe, manifold, piping, and FMIC.
Parts i need are the turbo ( but im not sure the size), chipped ecu ( probably from phearable.net)
Parts im not sure if i need for what i want- Bigger injectors, FMU, fuel pump
What else should i be looking for?
I only want about 200 whp maxium. The block is healthy, as is the head.

Re: first time attempting to turbo.. D series (doood)
don't forget bout a bigger radiator, headstuds, clutch, alxes, and on cause all those things will need to be replaced shortly after boosting your car. Good luck.

for 200whp i wouldnt even waste my time....the clutch is the only thing i would recommend, but i can tell you from experience that the clutch will hold the power, but not for too long

Ditto. At the most, he'd want to get a new clutch, but most stock clutches (OEM especially) will hold 200whp for a long time, assuming he doesn't slip it like crazy on purpose.

Re: (quicksilver1689)
well, thanks for the help.
Im not sure what i need exactly.
I'll tell you what i want and then maybe someone can help me.
This car is just a fun project car to learn on/have fun with. It is no a DD and will be used for enjoyment purposes, not to commute or anything.
I was told i could use an FMU without upgrading anything but the fuel pump ( was told to use greddy blue box).

not necessary, but not a bad idea....they're going to make the car feel a little rougher though...i'm going to be sitting in the mid 300s hopefully and i'm just now getting inserts...i was at 275whp last year and never had them....
just to give you an idea, on my last setup i was making 275/194 on a stock GSR with stock axles, the stock radiator and no headstuds....on my new setup, i've actually moved to a slightly smaller Civic Si radiator....
