Default D series turbo questions

Forgive me if I sound naive, please someone help me out.
I want to turbo my sohc vtec, what parts should I purchase, so that I can have a reliable 8 psi turbo daily. I want to rebuild my block and run a block guard, I know I need new rods, and I also want to buy new pistons and rings.
Can I get some help, so I can start sourcing out the parts in time for the summer
thanks all

you don't need to build anything in your block to just run 8psi

You can run 8lbs on an FMU/pump just fine.

depends, 8lbs on what turbo?
my sohc was making 244 whp on 10lbs with a t3/t4 , that is a bit much for stock internals.
with a good piston/rod/bearing combo and good tuning your sohc can handle 3-400 whp just fine
now if you just have a small turbo 8psi you can use a fmu and colder plugs and be ok. or even a V-afc and a good fuel pump

good luck!!

That isn't true in all cases... my car was leaning out nicely with an FMU and pump... It all depends what size turbo you have on there.
Why not just put uber on it..
