just got my car running and want to know how come i dont hit boost on 1st gear, yet i hit boost on 2-4?? Just curious..

also, i have weird idle going from 1k -1.2k and after a few mins it would go back to normal ~850rpm

This is a d16z6 w/ chipped ecu running only 5psi on crome and stock everything..

 

the idle is probably from the IACV, try cleaning it out, as for boost, what turbo are you running? i have a 57 trim t3/t04e and i only get around 9 psi in first... you should definately have some pressure, make sure there arent any leaks

 

Apexi kit only running 5psi boost w/ stock injectors, it idles fine after a few mins in neutral, and idles fine b4 i installed turbo...

 

its probably because you are only running 5psi

I run 15psi every day and I get only a portion of that in first gear

 

I used to have the Apexi kit, check everything over cuz I would hit 10 psi in first by 3500 rpm.

 

oh, but u running 10 psi, i am set at 5psi max since my stock injectors are still in there...

i think the previous guy is rite, i just talked to someone and he is set at 5psi and doesnt hit full boost till 6k rpm on first gear...

 

Wrong, When I first got the Apexi kit I too ran 5 psi and it hit it by 3000 rpm. That is a very tiny BB turbo and it spools super fast. Check everything over brother.

i agree with that turbo you shouldnt have any issue hitting full boost in first...
