Finished Install...IDLE LOPING..NO BOOST!
Alright...heres the problem...i just finished my swap/install and am having an idle problem...the engine is UNTUNED, i switched between both AFC hack/stock p28 and a chipped p28 with basemap and still engine reacts the same way.
I will fire up the engine and it will being to lope once it gets up to temp...650-720rpm and eventually cut out..
When i was driving the car, i brought it up to 4500rpm...normally i hit boost around 3500 but this time..nothing...my boost guage still read in vacuum.
What do you think??

What kind of software was used to create the startup map?
I've run into similar symptoms before. Low idle vacuum (~19" Hg), rough warm idle, and low warm idle. The problem was that the fuel basemap was too lean...way too lean...around 24:1 AFR.

well..i rule that out becuase the problem was present with BOTH fuel managements
but didnt check the vacuum number...will do tommorw..

What size injectors are you using? And, does the "chipped" ECU's ROM have the proper injector correction factor?

Re: Finished Install...IDLE LOPING..NO BOOST! (IN VTEC)
like i stated...it shouldnt matter becuase when i ran the chipped ECU...chipped with a basemap from uberdata it ran the same when i swapped ECUs and ran the AFC Hack
but im sure my ECU guy is good for his work....

Maybe they're both improperly calibrated.

I assumed the same thing too....until I double-checked his work. We're talking about a reputable guy. It was probably just an oversight, but you can't always take everything for granted, especially when it comes to Uberdata startup map hand-outs.

Yes. In my scenario, the car drove an hour down to me before I found out how lean it was.
Aside from the idle vacuum being a bit low, it drove fine for the most part, but it would buck quite a bit on throttle changes and throttle on conditions.
