FINALLY got the Prelude tuned
Wow, this is like the NW thread, anyhoo, I would say if you got any questions then take it to ISA/Turbo tech. They know what they are doing. Ive seen several cars there making 4 digit numbers. Thats all they do is turbo and honda.
Not the turn into the nw thread, but intec racing does a great job on tuning as well. They did a great job on my car, and I'll continue to go their as I make improvements. I run the apex'i power fc ems. Really like the prelude too.

It has nothing to do with that AFR either.
BUT your car does look damn good!!

hes making 262 WHP, not 220

And ive also seen engines blow up after being tuned by many shops, usually its some idiot kid who thinks hes the man after getting his nitrous or turbo installed, and they think they can run 15psi on a stock block when it can only handle like 10 TOPS, or put in a 100 shot without any build up. Stupid kids and their egos blow up engines.

Sorry but these guys are ******* idots! call up any reputiable shop in washington and they will all tell you how they end up cleaning up carb connections messes.
unlike most peoples turbo'd cars mine was installed, towed there and blowen up on the 3rd run running extremely lean! left outside for three weeks then called to tell me it had 40% blowby in #4. Then after it all they tried to charge me for there time. **** that dude!

I said for "my tastes". Being that he's still on a stock motor, I'd like keep it more conservative to be more reliable. The ringlands on the H22 stock pistons are prone to break with just the slightest of detonation. Just what I've experience, that is all.

oh ok. Ya running richer than 11's makes it "safer". You know running really rich can cause damage too right? lol. That is all.

Well, I could go on for days on that. The Greddy kit was cheaper, I can't run much more than 270 WHP safely on an H22, Greddy comes with everything I need straight out of the box, the 18G turbo spools by 3000 RPM, the car is daily driven and the Greddy kit is proven to be safe, ect.

Fine, so they fucked up your car, and I'm assuming there is more to the story than you are telling (I'm guessing it was mostly your fault). Anyway, I've been taking my car there for over 3 years. They've done custom intercooler work, nitrous, dyno, clutch work, ect on my car and I've NEVER had a problem.
Therefore, I trust their word over yours.

Well now that I've been driving it more, I notice I am getting detonation in 3rd and 4th gear at WOT in high RPMs. Any ideas what I can do? I'm thinking I'll just take it back to my tuner and tell him to retard the timing a couple degrees. The thing is, am I going to have to get it on the dyno and to get it taken care of?

Yea, I called them and I'm going to take to back in tomorrow and they are going to take a bit of timing out for me.

I can hear it. At about 6000+ RPM at WOT I can hear the detonation.
