Last wednesday, I was a Englishtown shakin down my civic, and on my second run, right before my burnout, i look down at my Oil Pressure guage and its sitting on 0!!!, after changing my shorts, i shut the car off and tow it back to the pits. After further inspecting everthing, i realize my sender took a ****, wheww
Then a few days ago, i went on the highway to check a few things before i hit the dyno, and i look down at my boost guage, and its climbing towards 20psi!. Now im not a stupid man, but i have a 8psi wastegate spring and i never heard of a 12psi creep unless somethings broken hardcore. After buying new vacuum lines, changing the source, changing the spring, taking the wastegate apart twice and inspecting it, it ends up being my stupid *** Autometer boost guage. Every car has problems, but these dumb guages probably took 3 years off my life and lots of hair off my head, lol. I can see a faulty guage every now and then, but 2 in 2 week, i dont think so, these products are hurting. Dont buy them folks!</TD></TR></TABLE>

Have you tried double checking your grounds and power source? Electronic gremlins are the worse

And we all know that Honda Tach's are the most acurate things on the planet, right?

ROFL. JFWU, DeFi is one of the few gauges I'd put in my car.

GReddy 52mm oil pressure and Boost gauge in my car now, Autometer tach at least until I can get my GSR cluster in, then i'll probably be coming out to reduce pillar clutter.

Yes, i most certainly did Sir. Me being an electronics major, that was the first thing i did after i ot to the pits, turns out the wire from the guage to the sender was showing a positive reading, indicating something was broken inside the sender. It shuld be a negative reading

bwahahahahahaa
That sucks dude, I never liked Autometer and never understood why many get their A/F ratio color flasher, lol. What level of accuracy can someone get with that? To me, Autometer is like APC.. you can even get it at your local walmart store..

Well i know one thing that i forgot to say earlier. These autometer guages were old as hell, they were about 3 years old, so i guess they got good use. The shitty part was that i got the both from 2 different HT members in seperate trades, hehe. I didnt realy pay much for them to begin with. So to Jeff and Terry (you know you are), thanks for the wonderful headaches, lol

My friends GSX creeped from 8psi all the way to 26psi because the wastegate was too small. 46mm tial fixed it.

I just put a Shultz liquid filled guage on to replace the broken one. I had it layin in my garage, theres no problem with them at all, engine bay or cabin.

I dont know... I heard from this one guy, at this one place, this one time... that the liquid in the gauge is toxic... so dont break it or you die instantly.

Seriously.

BTW I just had a autometer fuel pressure gauge take a poo on me... damn needle came loose in it... think it will work still?

I still have 400.00 in autometer coupons, I will give to somebody for 200.00 I have all thye gauges I need. Autometer gets a , the only prob I ever had over a 9 year period is a oil pressure gauge that sticks, but it still reads accurate. For the money, you cannot beat autometer. Jason

My autometer fuel pressure gauge started to melt, the white part of it on the back was brown and distorted from heat... If I had lost my car because of that POS causing a car fire I would be I got rid of my autometer gauges and run greddy warning gauges now, no complaints, I love them... You get what you pay for. DEFI Greddy

Just thought I'd throw this out there... My father has been using Autometer gauges for years and years, and has never had a problem with one. He uses them on his 442 and I use them on my cutlass. So far they get a from me.

Autometer gets a from me. I've been using their gauges for a while.

Sometimes people don't hook **** up right or whatnot, and maybe sometimes they have a bad apple. But if autometer gauges were crappy, NHRA, NASCAR, and guys who drag race for a living use autometer? Cuz i'm pretty sure like most do. It would be funny to see an old Camaro running Apex'i gauges tho.... hehe

I recommend Autometer gauges

I sold my autometer gauge and bought some Defi (non-link) gauges off of ebay. too bad the guy ripped me off and never sent them, now i'll have to go to the bank and see if i can get any money back.

Looks like i'm never getting gauges in my damn car without a hole in the bank account, haha.....
