fighting for power
I recently installed a greddy kit onto my d15b, ive been noticing that when im getting on it, it seems like when im pressing the gas the engine is fighting for the power and im only boostin up to 2psi. Its kinda like when i press the gas the motor feels hesitant all the way to redline. Im not sure what the problem could be, please help guys.

Re: fighting for power (b16ahybrid)
the kit wasnt new when i bought it, ill have to pull my plugs in the morning and see what they look like. If they are soiled?, what would cause something like that to happen.
Oh, and the "2psi" problem has been eluding me for the past week. I have no idea what hell is going on. i do have one question though. Ive noticed that the turbo housing moves just a litte, if i move it slightly it will sometimes lock up the turbine fins. WOuld that be enough to cause a major leak?

You should fix that asap. The housing is probably loose, usually there's bolts or clamps near the center of the turbo that you can tighten that will fix that problem. It could be the cause of it, have you looked over you charge piping making 110% sure it's not leaking?

Re: fighting for power (Bailhatch)
well you can kinda wiggle it, if you try hard enough. Im assuming the metal ring that holds the housing to the exhaust manifold needs to be tightened. but just wnadering if that would cause a major leak.

I'm not sure if it will or not to be honest with you. But you said it can be moved enough to lock up the turbo fins...that needs to be tightened no matter what, if it's the cause of the leak or not. In time it will give you problems if you don't address it now.

If you can wiggle it with your hand, it's a guaranty that the turbo spooling can move it. That will cause it to leak.
