Default Few questions

Well, been boistinh for ~4 weeks so far... so good, no problems
My setup:
D14A4 (yea.. 1.4 engine)
Garrett T2
10:1 FMU, inline fuel pump
IC

However, today finally went on freeway (as was so far driving only in city).
I drove ~120mph.. and just to keep up at that speed the boost was arround some 3psi (previously it couldnt even reach that speed :D).
Well, I was driving for some 5 mins like that, and pulled over to re-check everything is OK. And when I opened hood, noticed that the elbow going out of exhaust hausing of turbo was a little reddish (it was night aswell). I suppose that is normal for stuff to get some red glow after driving somewhat harder?
Manifold wasn't red tho, or turbo itself... just wondering as this is 1st time I saw that on my car
On A/F I was reading that it was rich when in boost, as for timing.. it's stock no signs of detonations (however planning to get MSD BTM when it gets hotter...).
Well, as for that timing... how many of you guys run with stock timing/no retard at boost, and at what psi?
In 5th gear at WOT at 120mph (at ~5000rpm) I got almost 7.5psi boost (was still nicely accelerating, but I let go since had winter tires).
heh.. y know how it is.. paranoia

do some research and look into getting an EGT gauge (Exsaust temp.) If your running stock internals and that kind of heat than you could be looking for another motor soon.

High RPMs for extened periods of time will cuase metal to get hot. My friend and I drove for about 35 miles at over 120 mph and when we got there we pulled over, popped the hood and the top of the header was glowing red!

Ahh... so I guess that is normal than
Besides.. oil temp didnt even go past 170F, and coolant temp was rock steady as always...
