F-in vtec code is pissin me off, need help please
Ok here's the problem. When I start the car I get a code 22 which results to me bogging if I go into vtec. So far I have checked all resistances and voltages and they checked in clear, I replaced spool valve filter and also o-ring gasket between solenoid and vtec assembly, also checked for free play on pillar inside assembly and all was well. The deal is when I shut the car back down after heating it up reset the ECU and the code was gone and will usually only come back when the car is cold again. Have any of you seen this or may know what my problem is.. 115 bucks for a new solenoid from the dealer is fine but I don't want to waste the cash if it isn't necessary as opposed for 25 bucks for a new pressure switch.. Any clues amigos? Thanks in advance,
Nick

Re: F-in vtec code is pissin me off, need help please (boost killz)
customer of mine had simular problem.checked everything at least 4 times.
ended up being the oil pan. he had hit something and it had pushed the bottom of the pan into the pick-up but still had oil pressure until it went into v-tec and could
not get the volume of oil needed to lock rocker arms together. just something
to think about.
