F*$& NOW WHAT?
Lately my car has been leaking oil, so i scheduled an appt with some local mechanics since they have a car lift, and i cant do **** from underneath a jack. So they find out where its leaking, its coming from my block, where the oil pressure sending unit and my oil feed line go. They take it out, and not just that, the threads come out as well. They didnt know what to do, all i can think of that will work is to pull the motor and tap and dye it. I had to have my car towed home. I lose my license the 28th for an underage, but i didnt want to not have my car for the last few weeks...I was wondering if i could use JB weld, and if it would hold it, or if i have to tap and dye it...Problems never stop
any options?

Re: F*$& NOW WHAT? (97turboteg)
sounds like you need to run a tap in there. question is, does it need to be drilled first. Does the motor need to be dropped to drill it.
The OEM threads are 1/8th BSPT. Maybe try a 1/8th NPT tap in there? and then you'll need a new tee for the oil feed but it'll be all NPT then.
Even that might not work. it was just a suggestion. good luck

my buddy had the same problem, so he drilled his out a little bigger and tapped it. Now he runs a larger feed line which also reduces the pressure that the oil is sprayed into the turbo, i have heard +'s and -'s about less pressure, but i think his worked. Pm him JDMS1eeper

not for pipe taps. npt = national pipe TAPERED. the tap is tapered and therefore to my knowlege there is no way to helicoil it.
