Default HELP: stripped oil feed

the hole in the back of this block for the oem oil pressure sending unit is partially stripped. what can i use to fix this? i gotta get the new 1/8 bsp fitting in there... thanks.

i had the same problem, thats what happens when you let friends that THINK they know what there doing work on your car... What I did, was took the OP sending unit out, chemically cleaned the hole with a paper towel until i didnt get any oil on the towel, then put JB Weld on the OP sending unit, screwed it back on gently, then put JB around the block and OP sending unit, try that. IF not, you will have to pull the motor and tap and dye it...let us know how it goes, good luck man

You can get 1/8 BSP taps, hopefully since your only partially stripped screwing that in will rethread it. That's what I had to do, worked but I really hate that part of the block.

who carries a 1/8bsp tap? i looked all over. maybe napa?

i dont see them everywhere, u may need to just order it online somwhere

thinking of just retapping it with a 1/8 npt. should be pretty close. what do you guys think?
