i was looking into getting the exedy organic on my hybrid gsr swap with the drag gen 3 turbo kit. i was wondering how long this clutch would last and if it would hold the power well. i am kinda on a budget and need opinions. thanks alot
I roasted an Exedy organic with a 5k rpm launch(slipping the clutch) and a 65 shot. On a great day I might have been putting down 220 whp with my setup. The clutch held up great when I was roadracing, but it just didn't work at the dragstrip. When I lowered my launches to 3k rpm the clutch held fine and I was runngin mid-high 13s. I wouldn't recommend the exedy organic because it limited my launching at the track and I also gained about an inch of pedal travel after only one weekend of racing.
Yep, maybe for just bolt ons. Im fine with it. But I have a nearly stock b20b...
When I decide to go turbo, im getting ACT or something of the like

wow your guys didn't handle the power? Mine handles the power in my boosted prelude perfectly fine. It has been on for over a year now(with boost), with no probs. I had it on a year before the car was boosted too. I took it off to look it at about 4 months ago, and it still looked fine. I am only running 9psi right now, but it handles it no problem.

I am running it with a revhard 2c at 10 psi...at the drag strip without a problem. I love the clutch, and I have a friend with it on a NA B16 and neither of us could ask for anything more from a clutch.

I am launching by slipping the clutch at around 4000 not dropping it to avoid just spinning. works good, and I gain traction rather easily. I am goin again this friday, so we will see how it holds up.
Stock boost you should have no problems.

I have zero problems with my exedy organic clutch and my turbo.
I think the Exedy Organic is good for around 260whp, even though I have been "told" up to 280whp, I think 260whp is safer. But I never really intended to push past 240whp anyway.
How much power do you expect to put down. You might be okay. But if you plan on pushing more HP in the near future, you might want you get a stronger clutch.
Clutchmaster stage 3 is really popular.
Exedy Ceremettalic would hold it.. but is probably a overkill. Much stronger than you need. But you can be like a Clubsi.com member, and stage 9 or Exedy Triple plate full race disk clutches good for 1400whp cars going into a car with 140whp cars.
I think your okay with the Organic if yo uplan on sticking with stock boost though.
