evolution 8 turbocharger

evolution 8 turbocharger
i just wannt to find some things out bout this turbo,is it a 16g or 18g i know its good for bout 380hp but at how many psi? what are the ar.s on it and how many horses can i get per psi any info i greatly appreciated thanks

it all depends on the setup, the tuning etc. we have made 312 on an evo 8 turbo, on a straight LS setup all stock with ARP rod bolts, 17-18lbs. and 285 on 14lbs on another LS forged internals (customer ran out of injector). we have yet to use one on a Vtec setup, or go over 18lbs YET.

they say its an 18g but realy its closer to a 20g. they run 20psi stock on a 2.0l . on a honda u should seefast spool and nice power band

The Evo 8 turbocharger is closer to an 18G. It is a larger twin scroll 16g good to about 350whp, but that is pushed on evolutions over 22psi. it is a 650cfm turbocharger. A/R sizes are a bit different than what they are used to in terms of square cm, and not the standard ratios you're used to associating with.
