Default Is it possible to swap...

....the shafts of a Turbonetics and Garrett turbo? I have a .63 a/r turbine housing on both but the wheels are different and I need the turbine housing from the Turbonetics with the center section and compressor housing of the Garrett b/c the turbine housing on the Turbonetics is a 5 bolt and the turbine housing on the Garrett is a 4 bolt and I already have a 5 bolt downpipe and really don't want to buy a new DP and the Turbonetics turbo needs a new compressor wheel and center section.

There are a shitload of 'garrett' turbos that will not, and a few that will. Chances are you have a stg3 turbonetics turbine, and a stg1 turbine on the garrett.

Would you really want to kill your power by 10-20% by going with the smaller Garrett turbine? Otherwise you'll ahve to disassemble both turbos, try it out, then have it rebalanced. Trust me when I say its easier & cheapter to cut & weld for the 4-bolt. You may find someone with the 5-bolt housing, but typically thats a $50-100 upgrade for the off-the-shelf turbos.

The Garrett Turbine wheels is bulkier than the Turbonetics piece. I got my new center section for my Turbonetics today. All I need now is a compressor wheel, I don't have a clue where to get one for cheap and a rebuild kit.
