LS turbo setup, what do you think?
Im doing this setup this winter, with the help of your opinions...
I already have a built head:
Crower 403 cams, and valvtrain, and fresh seals and gaskets...
Arp head studs
-Safc
-255 walbro pump
-450cc dsm injectors
-msd btm
-chipped pr4 ecu
I want:
Arias 9:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
Block Guard (sleeve saver)
Oem Bearings
Arp rod bolts
Id like to keep stock crank, and pulleys
Shooting for 300+whp, somewhere 10-14psi...stock sleeves and bore!

that setup sounds good. You should put down some good numbers with that. I think you need better engine management. It looks like your going to be using the AFC-hack. IMO if you only want 300whp you can get that with the stock block. I have an LS turbo check my sig.

definately attainable with that setup. look for a t3/t04e 57 trim .63 exhaust a/r. i hear good things about it for ls motors. its the turbo ill be using. im kinda confused about why you would have the safc and btm with a chipped ecu.. parts wise, your setup is solid

that's the same turbo i'm using w/ my ls, it spools quick and can easily push enough air for ya to reach your goals. plus leaves a little room for improvement. i am also wondering why you need the btm w/ a chipped ecu? if you do use it call msd for specific install instructions, the instructions that come w/ it are not correct for hondas, i use one on my car for now until i get an ems but had problems with the install before i called msd. good luck looks like a solid setup.

What does it cost for uberdata and how does it run? its it a piggyback, or an ecu replacement?

I went with Hondata but I would recommend Uberdata over the SAFC and MSD BTM any day of the year.

You need to get up to speed on things bro. I have an 89' hatch (if you didn't notice in my sig). It is converted to obd1 and I run Uberdata. The obd0-obd1 conversion is very easy and well worth it IMO. I love Uberdata .

What does an obd-o to obd-1 conversion consist of, and how much money does this cost? why do you feel its better?

should be just a conversion harness for around 120 bucks or less and an obd1 ecu, that has been soldered to accept chips. it can let you run programs that work with obd1 such as uberdata, but turboedit is good too.

i was very pleased with the uberdata basemap that i had going on my old boosted z6. it wasnt even fully tuned and it started, idled and ran fine. this is much better than i expected, considering it was now handling injectors just about twice the size of the stock ones.
oh yea- make sure that you have a clutch that will be able to handle the newound power of the built boosted motor.

Contact Blown90hatch on here. He can hook you up. He is the owner of the above comapny and those are the harnesses we use. You'll need the harnes, obd1 distributor and a 4 wire o2 sensor.
