EVO 8 Mitsu Turbo on my 95 teg gsr b18c1??? what can I expect??
Hey guys I got a friend who has a EVO 8 and he upgraded his turbo to the 600hp upgrade, anyhow he is going to give me his stock EVO 8 Turbo, and downpipe that goes with it. I was wondering what are those turbo good up to for psi and for hp , I can get a t25 manifold cheap and that would be half of the setup so I was wanting some input. Does anyone know what kind of Mitsu turbo it is 14g 15b or 16g. Thanks for all and any input.

i am not sure exactly what turbo it is but is definately alot better than the t25's from the eclipses. All i really no other than that is it is twin scroll(divided exhaust housing) and should be good for 20ish psi.

its a variation of the 16g. They actually call it a 16g... but the compressor is a newer larger wheel....Evo's are in the mid 11's @ 117-118mph on that turbo...

it's a 16g turbo. If you can find a greddy manifold it'll fit perfectly. the evo's are pushing somewhere between 16-18 psi (i think). Whp wise on a b18c1 I would say 260-290 maxing the 16g out. But it all varies on what other mods your car has.

I think you might need to get a shop fabricate you an exhaust manifold to fit the Evo's 16g turbo. Give SFP in FL. or Ultimate Racing in Canada a call and check if the're able to make you one because both shops have experience on Evo's and integras.
Here's a pix of the twin scroll design that bolts onto the mani.
Specs
Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR / USDM E8)
TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T (RS/RS2)
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
Turbine = USDM EVO 8 & JDM GSR =Inconel (steel alloy),
RS/Rs2=Titanium alloy.
Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide
Keep in mind that this turbo spins backwards as oppose to other turbos. There's a chance of fitment issues such as your AC condenser on the GSR because the compressor side of the turbo will be facing towards the right side of the car (if you're looking at the motor from the front).
Hope this helps.

that turbo will give you power, we ran it on 23pSI like nothing. Twin scroll is good for bottom, mid, and some top end power. This turbo is a similar to a twin turbo.

i had just done some previous research on the fitment of HKS manifold and DSM t25/td05 flange. they are different! the standard t25/t28 flange is similar to the t3 but a bit smaller. The DSM t25/td05 has the round exhaust port. so the answer is NO the HKS will not fit the dsm t25 flange.

the fitment issues on that look like a big head ache to me. it may be worth your wile just to by a standerd 16 or 18g, then a greddy mani will work. that is definetly a diffrent flange than normal mitsu.

Re: (grndcont)
the greddy manifold will only work with the standard garrett t25 flange, such as the one found on nissan turbos. I believe the standard 18g and 16g turbo have a different flange and will not bolt up to the manifold.

Man, that's a crazy looking turbine flange! I doubt anyone has an off the shelf manifold for a Honda with a flange like that.
