everyone with "intake"
ill get a pic up soon but...
i cant just simply put a filter directly on the compressor b/c of space issues, i was wondering about getting a plastic or rubber piece from home depot clamp it on the compressor and get a k/n or apexi filter. anyone have a set up like this? or is there anything wrong with having a plastic or rubber piece?

you can have a turbo coupler on the inlet and attach a pipe to it and a filter to that pipe. </TD></TR></TABLE>
pics of this? and who sells them?

here's a pic of my coupler:

then just get a piece of piping (same diameter as your inlet). attach them together with some t-bolts
i'm sure you can find everything here:

if you search around, you may be able to find better prices, but atp turbo is readily available.

Home depo style couplings will melt eventually (quckly) and possibly suck up a piece into your turbo.
My Home depot motorsports coupling didn't last long at all.
Get the right kind of coupling 3 ply silicone kind from local race shop or online.

I made a true cold air setup, turbo inlet tube is T304 stainless to avoid heat soak, the U bend (not shown) is aluminum, there's a huge K&N filter at the end which resides in my right inner fender. I also have a venturi tube in the turbo inlet tube that helps evacuate my crank case.

where are the best place to buy 3" couplers? k&n filters?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I get my couplers off of ebay, someone earlier in the post had one. They are made by HTS (high temp silicone). The guy there is really cool, I have gone to his dist shop in apple valley and he was super nice. His products are high quality as well.

No, no problems there, perhaps your manifold puts the turbo at a different angle?
Can you bend the line out of the way?
