Is there anyone running an engine oil cooler setup? with the remote filter locator?

I think I'm going to buy one to use with my custom turbo setup, safety and all ya know.

Oil relocator isn't too practical and makes for another place to spring a leak. Oil cooler wouldn't be bad. 10 or 13 row.

The oil filter locater is used usually for cars that its difficult to get to the filter. On the tegs and civics I dont think its that hard to get too. My buds rx-7 is a biotch to get too and he moved it...BUT IT LOOKS VERY COOL THOUGH. An oil cooler? Maybe but not 100% convinced its worth it.
Running an oil cooler is actually very good for keeping the oil temperature at ideal levels and preventing engine damage
If you decide on buying one get one with a thermostate, friend of mine didn't and oil never went above 60 degrees Celcius so ECU restricted going into VTEC

Oil cooler can be benificial when the motor is driven hard very so often. I would worry more about the oil getting into the turbo.
If you are running an oil cooled turbo (most people with after market setups), thermal breakdown (yes, synthetics too) of your oil is definitely an issue. An oil cooler helps your oil last longer and keeps your motor cooler.
The B17A motor comes with a really neat liquid-to-liquid cooler that circulates cooland instead of the typical leak prone liquid-to-air setup. If you can get ahold of one in a junk yard it is a good find. It will fit any B-series block and leaves the filter in the OE location.

I believe there is also a water jacket around the base of the oil filter on H22 & H23 motors to help reduce oil temp (correct me if i'm wrong).
Honda introduced small oil sprinklers on the b16a2 engines to lubricate the pistons better.. something which really amazed me whiles taking apart a b16a2 engine..( yet more improvements a1 & a2 than meets the eye..)
This makes me wonder: does the b16a1 actually needs oil-cooler with forced inducction? Is this why my engine already runs fairly hot in race conditions?

Yes, The H22a has a water cooled oil jacket as well.
