Default Engine builders... How to get the oil filter thread out of the block????

Hi, I'm helping my cousin build his little d series mini me and we have a little problem. I decided to post here because of the amount of knowledgeable people and that more people here have built thier motors.

Any ways we got a new d16a6 short block and built that thing, but when we came to assemble the final little things, we noticed that there is no thread for the oil filter ??? ?? it has threads that go in that we guessed the thread thing for the oil filter screws in and you screw the oil filter on it. We don't mind taking it off of his old block but we have no clue how... I don't know if anyone understands what im talking about but any help would be greatly appreciated...

thanks in advance

what i did was get two nuts (1 larger than the other) and screw the larger one into the threaded nipple and use the smaller one to lock it in place. then place a deep socket (19mm,22mm etc) into the larger nut and remove. installing it back is just the reversal.
