Default HELP - need to remove oil filter fitting from block

how do you remove the oil filter thread of the back of the block,

i am fitting the B16A oil cooler to my B20 block and cant remove the threaded piece from the back of the block,

what is the trick to it?!?!

I've actually "yanked" off one of these by removing an aftermarket oil filter that was tighten just a "weee" too much...

It should spin out of there by simply spinning the threaded coupler fitting "counterclockwise" big *** pliers or visegrips will work.... if you are trying to save the fitting along with the threads, it might be a little more trickier.... GL

i just need enough pressure on teh fitting so it spins eh?

This is so ghetto but i had to do it in a bind last week, I took 2 old oil filters and cut the bottoms off with my die grinder, then I threaded one of them on and then the other, I tightened them together like the 2 nut trick and then grabbed the inner one with a pair of vise grips and unscrewed it.(I had to reuse it so it couldnt be damaged). Hey you have to make do with the tools you have
