Default which ems do i use? 30-1000 or 30-1040

hey i have been doing alot of research on the aem ems and it seems like they are the same unit i went to the aem website and checked the manuals on both units and the both say they will work with 92-95 civic. i have a 95 civic w/b16a2 turbo and i need to know which of these units is the one for me before i purchase so any help you could give i would really apreciate it.

Get the 30-1040, its the newer version and come in a smaller case. They are close to the size of a stock ecu.
From what I hear they also fixed some of the coil drivers that they were haveing problems with on the older units. Mostly they were caused when running a COP setup.

Yeah the 1040 is the replacement unit and has a few more options on it as well one having a built in UEGO controller if you pay the extra. I believe there were more things as well so i would stick to the new version for updated software/options. When i got mine i had the option to get the 1000 for a few hundred less but i figured it was worth getting the up to date unit.

The wideband is an option you have to pay extra for. It would be 30-1040U for the wideband version.
