my laptop did not come with a serial port, yet my aem ems does, i have been researching and found some usb to serial converters but the forums ive read its kinda hit and miss wheather they really work or not. anyone out there making it work? or do i need a new laptop.

 

I had it working with a generic USB -> Serial from Fry's Electronics, it shouldn't be that difficult to get up and running.
