Default electronic boost controller help

i have an innovative MSBC, to bad they don't exist anymore, anyway, i know the wastegate sees only pressure but does the solenoid for the controller also see only boost or is it ok to have it's source be off of the IM after the throttle body?

An electronic boost controller will have its own boost/vacuum sensor which should be connected to the same source of vacuum for your wastegate.

If its a normally closed [when no power] solenoid like the ems-based EBC's use, vacuum is better. If its normally open like a GM If its normally open, it will pull vacuum when you let off, which will slow the valve between shifts.

I like to get it closed as fast as possible, so i use vac with a NC solenoid. Since its common for extrnal EBC's to use their own sensor and a NO solenoid, I'd use boost only.

my MSBC has a manifold sensor, it's supply source can be either the manifold or wastegate depending on which set up you choose to run. i currently have it in the manifold setting. so my sensor is source is the IM. not sure how beneficial it would be to change it to a wastegate signal. although i am fairly new to boosting. thanks for the help so far.
