I like that idea, what are the pro's and cons compared to mounting it on the 3rd runner? One pro i can see is it gives you the cumulative exhaust gas temp entering the turbo.

Well the #3 cylinder is known to run the leanest out of the four. From a tuning and accuracy standpoint, this is actually more of a downfall of the location.

A pro of the location is that if for some reason the probe breaks off or anything, it will not harm the turbo.

it runs the hottest due to the fact that the heat from cylinders 2 and 4 are retained and transfered into number 3 causing it to run the hottest. This extra heat causes that cylinder to creat a little more power with the heat, but also the most dangerous combustion situation. Most people put the EGT probe there to moniter the worst case scenario
