Didnt you make a post about this before???

The Evo8 16g with MR 10.5cm turbine housing is good for 10.9 in the quarter mile.

Its a awsome turbo. Go for it!!

Its a good turbo to get it to boost really good it should be fun on the street it might run out of breath at higher rpm ranges

On a 2.2l engine, I see full boost [.6-.7 bar] on an EVOIII 16g a little above 3000 RPM. So far my impression of the turbo are great, but this is my first boosted car, so I'm basing it off nothing.

I was under the impression that at top end they wind out and really aren't much good past 6500-7000 RPM. Again, this is just my impression from heresay, no personal experience.

not the best match for high revving engines...i would compare it to a T3 super-60 .48 A/R ....it'd probably be a very good street turbo though.

edit: misread the post title, thought it said evo III 16G...an Evo 8 turbo even with the 9.5 housing would be awesome on a B16

thank you all for the input.

my internals include:
b16a2
wiseco 9.2:1 piston kit
eagle connecting rods
golden eagle block guard
arp head studs
precision 680cc injectors

would be running uberdata for fuel n ignition management..

intend on running one bar, which i believe would be very safe with a good tune, and yeild me 350-400 whp ?? is the goal achievable with this turbo? (EVO VIII MR) the serial number on the turbo reads 49378-01560.

n which place do you all recommend to buy the garrett t3/to4e 57 trim 0.63ar from?

I personally hate the what I call "g-series turbos"....there designed for torqy motors and dont give no room to grow for high reving motors. I wouldnt go anything smaller than the basic t3/t4 57 trim.

Exactly why it's great for my 2.2l Accord.

I talked to Turbochargers.com and they have a Scion making 400whp @ 24psi with it. I forget where I saw another car making about the same.

I'm thinking about this turbo since I have a 14b setup right now, and it's plug and play. Was lookin at the GT28RS before...but after reading up on the fast boost response and top end of this turbo...I'm goin to go with this most likely.

Hope that helped...I have a D16Z6 btw.
