ecu?
whats the best ecu to chip and socket if you are boosting an LS (b18b1) integra. I hear that the p28's are the way to go. I don't get it though b/c the p28's are vtec ecus. Why not use a p72?
I also hear that crome works better with the p30 basemap for some reason? since im going with crome, should i try to get a chipped p30 instead of a p72 or am i safe with just sticking with the p30 base map and de-activating the hig cam/fuel settings?

Re: ecu? (Whiteintegra)
You can use a whole lot of differnt ECUs...just a few off the top of my head:
p75
p72
p02
p28
Check out PGMFI.org for the full list in the wekipedia.
Crome works well on the P30 basemap because a lot of code is developed for the p30 code. It has nothing to do with which ECU you run. Like you said all you do with a VTEC ECU is disable the VTEC part and ignore the high cam fuel/ign.
If you have to buy an ECU anyways get a VTEC one since you can just turn off the VTEC feature and later on if you decide to go VTAK then you have a capable ECU. If you can get the non-VTEC ECU cheaper you can go that route too. It's your choice
