Ya they work fine, but the brand name ones have more fins for better cooling of the air. This is thread that has some good opinions and pics of the different intercoolers. The second page has the pics.

Stepped up the technology, what, how so ? They work, but they're just not as efficient as say a precision intercooler. A lot of go-autoworks **** is just re-badged ebay crap.

I'd pay the extra money and get a name brand IC.

Precision FTW. Best construction quality and bang for your buck.

When I used an egay FMIC, i had a pressure leak. WG spring at 10 PSI but boost gauge would never read more than 8.

I switched to Precision; no more leak, and my iat's are 2 degrees colder.

A lot of that ebay crap isn't pressure tested.

The guy that posted above you did.

I've found in many cases, expecially with car parts, that you get what you pay for.

ok i have had my egay cooler for 3 good years now started out at 14psi with 400hp/went to 26psi and 500hp on a stoxk gsr/then went to 24psi and 650hp on a built gsr.

key point is 3 years, and never had a boost leak from it with any of the builds it had been matted with.

yes they work are they the named brands that people brag about paying for on here nope, and are your iat's higher making your build not as efficient yup sure do.

they do work they just arent popular because there from egay lol

I think the point is that when using ebay parts, it's hit or miss. I've never heard of anybody having any problems with a Precision, ever.

LOL

There are plenty of ppl making good numbers on ebay parts. Is it as good as the name brand stuff. probably not. Will it work. sure will. people have been proving over and over again that if you know what you're doing you can get by with the ebay stuff. And to alot of ppl its just not worth spending the amount of money to put together the best kit money can buy or even necessary for that matter. argueing that someone is wasting there money on parts that are not going to perform as good as counterparts that cost twice as much is pointless.

yes and yet it is still done all the time. this topic is so beat to death. it sucks cause all those that argue with what is wrong with what clog up most of the threads asking for real opinions on who has used what first hand. hell half the people who say o thats bad don't run it just heard it from the other guy and wanna have an answer to someone elses questions.
