The difference is essentially not effieceny persay. Its about its job- Cooler. Dave burscher about 5-7 years ago was sick of people saying the same thing, "well my ebay cx racing intercooler holds fine for 600 hp" but its more for how well it cools. so he did a test of how well it lowers the iat compared to his intercoolers.
I can not remember the exact temparture degrees but it was quite obvious a ebay intercooler did not perform its job as well as his.
My iat temps went down by nearly 47 degrees in my evo 9 a few years back when I changed from the stock intercooler to a ETS monster intercooler.
Just kinda keep it in mind when shopping around. and dont think that efficiency has nothing to do with it either. just like building a engine you would not boost something without having proper supporting items. i.e. running a stock intake manifold vs persay skunk2 intake manifold.
I am going to be running a bmpc intercooler just because it was a steal at 40 bucks shipped. eventually I will run another ets.
