E01 , true boost , AVCR , EBOOST2 , PROFEC B , blitz ???
sup,
so, i'm on the lookout for a used boost controller and since there are so many i cant decide which one i should go for...
any ideas?
i heard that the new EBOOST2 is a good device,
e01 seems to me too "complicated"
profec b is a good unit but it lacks lot of options,
iv read that the avcr is a great unit and pretty much easy to use,
what about aem and blitz boost controllers,
please share your experience,

G. None of the above. Those to me are pretty much outdated and expansive for no reason. I run MAC solenoid PWM via neptune. Wouldn't want it any other way. for the price it beats the hell out of all of those posted. What is the car gonna be used for? and setup?

I have found that the Blitz SBC ID and the Greddy Profec B have worked very well, because of the fact that they are 2 companies that use a "gain" feature to help to controller the solenoid even more accurately. This "gain" feature, mainly used in circuit racing allows even more fine adjustment of the turbos characteristics. The additional control allows for the turbo even more responsive, as it holds pressure until the LAST second. I understand people like boost control strictly from the laptop to change options, but there are some situations where you need instant access to change boost with the push of a button. But most of those situations involve quick runs or circuit racing. YARO may believe that these devices are old, but after 15 years, they still work..

the gm solinoid is GARBAGE, get a mac and you will be fine.
if you dont wnt to take that route then my next suggestion would be the eboost2. i had an eboost1 on my old car and loved it. you could keep the gate shut untill the actual psi you wanted which dramatically increased spool up of the turbo. you can also set it up to do several stages of boost and use the ectune to actuave those or you can do it manually

the nlr is the cats ***, i have used the blitz sbc id and dual sbc. but downfall of them is they arent staged.
i have used the eb2 and greddy. hate them both. greddy's i have used are too in consistent, and the eb2, (though using them on a twin gt500,) for being a small piece, i think they are overly complicated. although you can toggle between settings pretty easy.
i am not familliar with ec-t, but if it works like the s300 with the mac valve, my s300 works very well.

Interesting. I have found the Greddy Profec B the most consistent of them all. But I also find that it depends upon what you're using it for. "staging" for me and many circuit racers isn't necessary, which is what it was designed for. I found the E01 a bit unnecessarily complicted. I have no experience w/ NLR, so I can't say either way.

I love my blitz holds boost steady and have never had an issue with it. The only downfall is that it reads in hkpa but simple math can fix that.

I'll give you that. the Newer model is more complicated on average, to where the ORIGINAL Profec B was easy, simple, fun, and not nearly as expensive. that is why they came out with that original called the Profec B Spec S.....
