Re: Which boost controller do u use? (RACEPAK)
I've had a Hallman manual boost controller, much better than others i've tried for a manual, mechanic boost controller, but i'm upgrading to a greddy e-01 or greddy b spec II in a matter of weeks. Depends on your needs, what are you looking to run...do you want gear specific boost, rpm based boost, etc etc.

I've used the A'pexi AVC-R on a couple of cars and the GReddy Profec Spec B II on a couple of cars. I like the AVC-R a lot better than the Profec Spec B II.
The closed-loop feedback duty cycle capability and boost by gear are good features that the GReddy doesn't have.
The monitor is easier to read and seeing the peak numbers is easier to get to as well. Resetting the peaknhold memory is a little more difficult tho.

Re: Which boost controller do u use? (IN VTEC)
I love my AVC-R. I've had it and the car for one day and it's fantastic. It'll bring boost in about 300-400 RPM's faster than just off the wastegates, and boost hits much mroe smoothly instead of one big onrush of boost. Not that traction is really an issue for me, but it keeps the back end more straight through corners if you're hitting boost

im still not 100% sure on how a manual boost controller is hooked up. Im gonna buy a hallman boost controller tomarrow....so does one side go to the wastegate side port and the other to my GE vaccume manifold??

Re: Which boost controller do u use? (Turbo_TONY)
the bottom of the boost controller comes from the vacuum source, the side of it goes to the wastegate.
ive had the hallman for a while now, no complaints whatsoever. i will be upgrading that to a turboxs dual stage thiss year though
