Default e-cutout tunning question....

ok, i have a mccord powerplate cutout... now im doing the tunning through uberdata... if i tunned it with the cutout closed (regular 3 inchinch exhaust back) and ran it sometimes with the cutout open would it lean it out alot? my question is, should i just tune if for the regular exhaust and then for the cutout open and make to chips? how rich will it run if i tune it with the cutout open and the run it sometimes with it closed on the same tune... thanks guys...

Tune it with the cutout open and when you have it closed you'll run rich, but when you open it up you'll be golden. Have fun!

Someone did this a while back and it ran just fine, a bit rich but fine when it was on. And besides how often are you going to hit full boost with it closed? lol

you'll be running rich with the cutout closed.....dumping extra unneeded fuel...fuel that you could be saving.

wouldnt he be running rich up top, which he normally wont hit unless hes trying to race/speed which then in turn the cutout should be open.

also doesnt the o2 sensor compensate on hondas?

i think the 02 normally would make the little adjustments... but not if you have the 02 disabled

It doesnt matter if he tunes for partial throttle, its not going to be that much different... Maybe one 1 part fuel difference, at the very most. If he tunes for 15:1 with the cut out open for best fuel economy that means when its closed its going to be at the most a fat 14:1 AFR. Wow, thats really goning to kill his MPG.

turboH22Aakkord,

Dont worry about it the mpg, tune it with the cut out open and dont worry about hitting boost when its closed.

why would you disable the o2??

why not let it compensate if its too rich?? is the honda pcm capable of that?? i know you guys dont run mafs, so maybe thats why???

with the f bodies the o2s come in very handy when tuning
