Most of the leakage past the valve are actually caused by pits on the valve and valve seat.
leaded fuel builds up deposits around the valve seats and helps them seal.

I was thinking this could be one reason why you made good power even with high leakage numbers.

Actually, the valves were bent. And it was meth. I've seen it time and time again, very few race cars have great leakdown numbers for any amount of time!

Have you tried out ur stock cams yet? that is just the most odd looking torque curve I have ever seen. Get the a/f close to 12:1 and get some stock cams in there and see what it does...

Those were stock cams that I dynoed with, now I have put the crower stage 2's back in. Thats what I was thinking though and the reason for this topic is b/c of the power and torque curves they look very strange to me too.

The A/F ratio on the dyno chart you posted is very rich. I tune Haltech ECU's often and find it hard to believe that you can't make the mixture leaner. What is your timing under boost? MY LS made 536whp Haltech E6K, 112Octane Fuel, 30psi. Maybe I can give you a hand with your map.

I never said that I couldnt make it any leaner. What happend was when we switched fuels it richened up for some reason and we ran out of time before we could get anywhere with it. I was mainly wondering about that dip in power because everything seems constant just seems strange to drop off 30hp then come back up. But if you tune Haltech and are willing to help out I would def. appriciate it.

Do you think maybe you lost the 30hp from not letting the engine cool down between runs?

damn...that's a really messed up graph. at 18 psi on my ls with stock head and mild p-n-p, i made 356whp and 322wtq with c16. i also have the same pistons you have and if you calculate it correctly, they're not 9.2 comp pistons. they're 9.2 on vtec motors but on an LS they're something like 8.65:1. i forgot who did the calculations for me but someone on here did it for me and found that they were lower than stock compression.

That could be a possibility but how could you explain a drop in power in one area due to heat.

hmm thats some intresting info I always thought my compression was low for 9.2:1 compression, that could explain it. What RPM were you taking it to. But at one point in the dyno session I hit 332 on 18psi so that could just be due to tuning.

i was taking it to 7.5k rpm. i didn't want to take it any higher cause my torque curve was starting to drop dramatically, although my hp curve was stable from 6k to 7.5k.
