Dyna Pak has no external RPM imput???
I have finally convinced my boss to buy a dyno. We are currently looking in to Dyno Dynamics, and Dyna Pak. I have always favored the Dyan Pak, until i saw that it uses hub speed to read RPM. OK, sound fine till I try to dyno a 1970 Chevy Nova with a Manuel rev. valve bodied turbo 400 with a 4100 RPM stall speed. How are you guys that own and operate a dyna pak getting past this? I called Dyan Pak today and they said that there has been research into a RPM hook up, and that it has been going on for 4 years, with no end in site. Please help i don't wanna give up on dyan pak yet.
I have posted this on other boards, and received no help. You guys/girls are my last hope.

I'd try your question out at: http://www.efi101.com/forum/ - probably get some good answers/recommendations there.

Dyna-pak dynos are uselss (IMO). I'd talk your boss into a Mustang unit, all the research labs use Mustang dynos for a reason (accuracy and repeatability)
Dyna-pak will give you hub-horsepower, based on hydraulic resistance not wheel horsepower
Personally I'm interested in power that gets put to the ground, including the rotational inertia and weight of the wheel and tire, not to mention friction of the tires.
