Default dyno question...

why do people make dyno runs and have the scale on the bottem MPH instead of RPM? just curious becaue i would rather know what RPM i am making power instead of what MPH.

hey good question.
I don't know the answer to that , so I'd like to know too.

**here is my shot in the dark GUESS...
-maybe it's a different dyno?
-it might be the software that anylzises the data ?

Without a tach signal from the engine you cant get the rpm plot across the bottom. So if they dont want to take the time to hook up the rpm pickup or there is a problem getting a signal you can dyno the car without it and your graph will read mph across the bottom.
