Default Dumping EXT. gate back into downpipe vs. atmospherical dump & sizing q's

My goal for my car is 400+whp/400+ft lbs (its a neon) I currently am running a 3" downpipe and a 40mm TiAL gate, but I don't like the sound of my external gate dumping in the atmos. because its too loud. So I'm planning on running the dumptube into the downpipe.

My concern is that by doing this it will cause wastegate isses, and create more backpressure in my exhaust. I can switch to a 3.5" downpipe, but I'm wondering if a 3" downpipe will be sufficient for my goals. If the 3" downpipe is hurting me with the dump then please let me know...if its fine and im just trying to spend more money....let me know.

I made 250/250 on 8psi t3/to4s .63AR 76trim/67trim .70AR

Also if you could share your experiences and what you would suggest as far as distance between the gate and routing it back into you exhaust. Also would you suggest making the dumptube enter the downpipe on the inside of a radius or the outside...or does it really freaking matter at all.

thanks guys

Reconnect the dump 18" down stream from the turbo.

I think it is more important how the dump enters the down pipe. We always route them back in on the inside radius of a bend on a very gradual angel, thus not to alter the exhaust flow. Made plenty of HP and no dump sound while driving around.
