I know its been covered but for somereason I can't seem to find what I need right now. I am looking to pull some timing because my plugs are white. For now I think I can move the disturbtor aft towards the firewall to retard? I am running stock injectors, 255 high flow intank pump, 12:1 FMU, B&M FPR stock press, missing link, stock P72 OBDII ECU, 7 psi intercooled, VAFCII set to zero, 9:1 compression.

Yeah I dont have and adjustable light right now but here is a pic of the plug. I just wanted to back it off a little to be safe cause I have a 1500 mile drive home.

just dont boost a lot, you'll be fine.
moving the dizzy towards the firewall actually advances the timing.
but dont change ur timing unless you have a timing gun/jump the ecu

I just want to recheck but moving the dizzy toward the firefall advances or retards timing??? Please someone double check cause I thought moving it towards the firefall retarded the timing.
OK I got it:

that plug looks normal if you are just cruising. your engine is going to go to 14.7 out of boost. did you pull those right after a hardpull without letting off/cruising? if you did that and they still look like that then maybe. did you shake them into your palm to look for metal specks falling out?
