Default Driveability with Emanage

Many people have had great experiences with the Emanage...and great results with power. But another concern that i was wanting to know is...hows the driveabilty...is the transition of boost smooth.....is driveability comparable to hondata or standalone? People always say that driving with hondata "feels" better compared to the FMU/missing link or AFC hack.....how does hondata and e-manage compare to each other? Also, i searched on this board and many people have good things to say about the Emanage..but i wanted to know the horror stories or bad experiences with the Emanage....if there is anyone with experiences or info with the Emanage..please post it here.

well i've had no personal experience with it myself. but i'm friends with a local shop owner that did a built sohc turbo with the emanage. the car made good power... made 240whp/225tq (i think) @ 14psi. as for driveability. the owner of the car complained about low throttle "jerking" as some people like myself have experienced at times with the afc hack. i THINK he got that sorted out though. not 100% sure but i know it was an issue at some point.

I believe the blue box that comes with the Greddy kit is very similar to the EManage unit. I don't know about everyone else but I also do have low end jerking between slightly open throttle and closed throttle. A lot of people I have spoken to really like the unit for its simiplicity to tune and ease of use. Plus its not that expensive. The negativity I hear about Emanage is that its nothing more than a expanded version of a V-AFC in that it manipulates MAP voltage to the ECU. I would buy it if I had the money right now.

NO!!!

The E-manage modifies the IPW signal AFTER the ECU, which means the ECU does not even know the signal is being adjusted, except through feedback from the O2 sensor in closed loop mode.

Doesn't the e-manage only modify the signal from the ECU for adding fuel, but for trimming it still changes the MAP signal?
