DRAG Kit problems!

Default DRAG Kit problems!

Are any of you guys running drag kits having problems with bolts staying tight?? the bolts on my drag kit that connects the manifold to turbo and turbo to down pipe keeps comming loose..what could be the cause?? or a solution? any comments or suggestions are very welcomed.

Try torquing it down more... I have never had a problem with mine. I wouldnt use lock tight because if you ever wanna take the turbo off the manifold. The heat from the manifold makes the bolts hard to get out, it would be twice as hard with lock tight... Thats my opion anyway.

Try torquing it down more... I have never had a problem with mine. I wouldnt use lock tight because if you ever wanna take the turbo off the manifold. The heat from the manifold makes the bolts hard to get out, it would be twice as hard with lock tight... Thats my opion anyway.

Blue Loctite is the weaker stuff...
I wouldn't put red Loctite on dp/manifold bolts, but I don't see a problem wih blue Loctite.

go to autozone and ask for loctite. it should be next to all the silicone gasket makers, adhesives, jb weld, etc. it comes in a tube and should run a few dollars. just put some on the threads and torque em down.

i though of using loctite..but can it withstand the heat from the manifold???

http://www.buyitsellitfixit.com/loctite.htm, maybe green 620 - holds up to 450F, but don't know if you'll be able to remove it after that. - maybe not the best option.
