on an gsr, is there any sorta of cutting or shaving you have to do? im sure you gotta cut the fan for the turbine to fit, but do you have to shave the block or anything?

depends on the turbo size ... i'm pretty sure most had to shave a little off the block and/or fans.

with my maxrev mani and garrett turbo, i had to cut ALOT from both.

 

i just did a search, and if its the b-trim, you gotta shave, but if its the e, you dont. so just a bit of drumel work?

anyone has a pic of this, that'd be great.

 

dremel and cutting disks should work but we used a drill and drilled a bunch of holes close together and got a mallet and pounded out the loose piece.

 

I think you might have that backwards...the e is bigger..therefore requires a little shaving..I have a b on my si and didn't have to shave the block..

Are you not sure where you need to shave? Or just how much? If you look where your turbo would be once you install it onto the manifold you can see to the left that there is a small webbing on the block. Just gotta grind that down a little so it doesnt touch the turbo.
