After 4.5 years (coming up on 5), I'm still glad I started out with the DRAG3 kit. And if I had to do it again today, I would do the same thing. Especially with the added options Ben@importparts can provide with the kit these days.

keep on reading and searching and u'll come to that conclusion for yourself. Since I'm a noob to turbos i also went with a drag3 kit for my LS (waiting in my room to be installed). With custom, it comes out alittle cheaper but.......... you get everything that YOU want. For instance i have a hondata s200 and a FMU that is useless to me now.
Also what MarkC said importparts.com's turbo kit options will give you a rough estimate of what the total might be.(of course those are all brand new parts) My freind did his custom turbo set up for under 2000$ cause it was all used and he knew what he was doing.
good luck

Ben is a cool guy, if you want less of a headache go with the drag 3 kit, but you could skim some $ of your totals if you went custom and even come out with a setup better fit for your application. A custom kit can be done for as cheap as 600$ or less, but if i gave a # lower then that people would say im crazy... im me if you want some more details on where, when and how to go custom

The drag kit is a nice way to begin the path of boost. It's just a starting point though. The only thing left from my drag kit, is the charge piping and intercooler.
