Hey guys, after a great deal of research and waiting on fittings, i think i have my oil drain pretty good. Will it work ?
It is a td04 (stock wrx turbo) mated to an hf adapter, its a low hanging pair

Re: (TurboCoop)
yea i know the fittings cost more than the manifold. Not quite more than the turbo, it is almost new condition (10-20k miles)...
I work of a steamfitting outfit and plan on using some of thier thread sealant on the threads and gasket to ensure a good seal...
My only concern is that the hose is a little "pregnant" by the brass fitting. It seems to have clamped good, has anyone ever had expereince with braided hoses and this before?

Thanks, the goal for this project is cheap fast and relable. I have been pretty patient with the build and taken time choosing parts. I hope it works

looks mediocre.
The reason I say this is that it looks like the bend is so sharp that the braided hose appears to have flattened out just a little bit, that means you are bending it beyond its designed bend radius.
It may not cause problems, but I'd check on it periodically, especially once the hose softens up from the heat.
You may want to loosen the worm gear clamp and let the hose relax, and then retighten it...sometimes the hose wants to 'tweak out' a little when you are tightening the AN fitting.

Thanks for the input, When installing i did just that. tightened worm clamp, then AN fitting, then released clamp and retightened. Is there any chance of failure if the hose is bent a little beyond its radius? What would be a better solution? I trimmed the barbed fitting to allow this much radius, yet the hose still looks a little pinched. Its pretty tight...
Again thanks everyone for the input
