Default Does MSD cause higher EGT's and lower IDLE?

i just got msd 6al with coil and cap installed on my b18c1 turbo app.
my cruising egts at say 80 mph used to be roughly 760 C and now they go up
to 800 C.
also, my idle use to be around 800 rpm, now it drops to about 5-600 rpm

is this normal after installing msd. can i just adjust my idle and everything will be ok?

I think your ignition timing has become retarded. Retarding the ignition usually lowers the idle speed and raises exhaust gas temperature as there is more fuel still burning in the exhaust, thus raising the temperature.

is this a bad thing? can i just readjust my idle to make it go back to normal?

will tuning fix any of this?

thanks

I don't think you have anything to worry about unless the car is stalling out all the time.

when i turn on my A/C, it almost wants to stall out, but catches itself right before it stalls out.

you think i should just up the idle just a tad and maybe this will go away?

also, starting up the car requires me to hold down the gas pedal for it to turn over.

any suggestions on that?

thanks
