IMO the drag position sucks *****. It really only feeds off one cylinder. Too bad that is the manifold I have to use.

yeah,as long as it is not on one runner like the drag.i am having problems with it right now so i am building a new manifold and have a 40mm tial on the way.we will be putting the wastegate off of the downpipe as well.the drag set-up seems to be fine with small downpipe and intercooler(more restrictive) and low boost.when you increase boost and flow is when you will start seeing problems(at least i did).my wife's ls with drag kit at 8 lbs has no problems whatsoever.

how much is your new manifold going to cost? can you guy shed a bit more light on how a wastegate works? i just knows that it relives pressure..but if you put on the downpipe..how does that work. thanks

I think he means on the downpipe flange - most T3 turbines are ported for an internal wastegate which relieves pressure right after the collector; you can port out the downpipe flange to mount an external wastegate using that same location. It's an ideal spot, but on some installs space is too tight to do it right.

It relieves pressure, but you have to think of exhuast pulses kinda like flowing water or something. The exhuast is going to take the easiest least restrictive route out of the manifold. The exhuast gases are not going to want to flow in the opposite direction of other exhuast gasses to get out. This is where the drag design gets in trouble. You want the WG at the collector, where the exhuast gasses won't have to fight against eachother to escape.

ok..thanks for the explanation. who makes good manifolds that wont crack and will retain all the acc like the drag manifold?
